The news confirms rumors that the much loved yet indelicately cancelled series had gone back into production. The Jim Henson Company has decided to make a four hour miniseries that will tie up all the loose ends left by the SCI FI channels sudden and inexplicable cancellation of the show.
What happens in this miniseries? We don't know yet but the word is that it's on an epic scale. Stars Ben Browder and Claudia Black will be back.
Possibly the most entertaining part of this news is that the mini will almost certainly not appear on SCI FI. The cable channel has earned considerable bad blood from fans over the show's treatment and that seems to extend to Henson. Look for the mini to be sold straight into syndication, making it rather widely available.
