Movies: Development Hell
So you heard about a movie they were going to make but never heard anything else. Sorry, but that project has entered Development Hell. It's going nowhere. Directors and stars kick it around like a soccer ball at a picnic. Studios pretend to never have heard of it. Sometimes they escape DH and get made... but not often.

Pre-Production
These are movies that are getting ready to start filming. This is where the cast and crew are hired. Designers are busily preparing sets. Costumers are sewing like mad. It's an exciting phase but also a dangerous. The dreaded "creative differences" that can ground a production occur here more than anywhere else.

This is where you can find all the collected updates on a single movie as it moves through various stages to finished product.

Post Production
Projects in this phase have completed principal photography. Plenty of work still remains though. Most special effects are added at this stage. Editing is a major effort right now. The score is being written and performed. And the design of the marketing campaign is moving into high gear.
