Meh.

Episode #1-07 "Hook Man"
Written by John Shiban
Directed by David Jackson
Guest Stars: Jane McGregor (Lori Sorenson).
Air Date: October 25, 2005

There was an Urband Legend film. I remember it because it had that cute redhead girl and Michael Rosenbaum with hair. This was kinda like that. There was a cute girl (Jane McGregor) and another guy from Smallville. And it was about as entertaining. So it sucked, is what I’m saying.

A young woman makes out with her boyfriend, he gets fresh, next thing you know an invisible hook man is killing him and suspending him above their SUV. There’s screaming and blah. Sam and Dean figure it out and save the day. Sam doesn’t get any, even though he really wants to. Again, his near religious restraint probably saves his life because the Hook Man targets people it perceives as morally or sexually corrupt.

This was a pretty weak concept to run with. It didn’t really give us much to work with other than some already stale material. They tried to dress it up, and the visuals were nice. In the end, it fails due to a lackluster plot. There’s just no reason to care about what happens because no one is really in danger. The main character aren’t, at least. Dean is obviously sexually frustrated. Sam appears to be, as well, but not because the Crotch Fairy hasn’t been trying her damnedest. I would have liked it if Dean became a target for the Hook Man, and maybe had to think about his libidinous thoughts. There could have been some humor there, but alas, wishes aren’t fishes.

This is really brief because there isn’t much I can tell you about an episode that wasn’t even bad enough to tick me off. I give "Hook Man":

A Flaccid Wang

Steven Dougherty wishes that one of the Winchester brothers would just get it on for once. Just once. Them balls are as blue as can be.
