If I had any sense, I'd buy a book on wildflowers and then look them up before posting a picture so that I could come across as knowledgeable.  But that would be dishonest.  I like taking pictures of wildflowers but I don't actually care about the actual plants.  So basically my attitude can be summed up as "Ooh.  Pretty."

Anyway, this nifty looking fellow grows in a dry stream bed behind my house.  I've seen them around before but usually they are much smaller.
