Hollyfeld, here. Welcome to the latest (and long-awaited) edition of Look Closer... Yes, I know it's been too long. Well, you're sweet to worry, but everything's fine. Hollyfeld's been a little busy lately is all - I've had a lot of personal business to tend to, I'm writing my new script, I've started a new column, and besides, I've been waiting to do this special double-sized edition of the column.
Hollyfeld, here, and welcome to the second night of unspeakable horror, which we will attempt to speak of anyway. 31 Days Of Horror continues, courtesy of Look Closer... and TNMC, with one of the more entertaining Slasher films ever made. Actually, I'm pretty excited about today because we're talking about a movie I really groove on and no one else knows, and I don't even like Slashers that much.
Howdy folks, John here. Regular readers will know that awhile back, Hollyfeld and I attempted to predict the Academy Awards nominations for 2001. We placed a little wager on the outcome, with the loser having to watch and review The English Patient. Since I'm writing this article, you can figure out who lost. So let's get right to the carnage, shall we?
Hollyfeld, here.
Welcome to the first edition of The Hollyfeld Reporter, a semi-regular direct line to our readers through which I, or other members of the TNMC cast, can editorialize various aspects of the media. This will not be another stupid column written by some guy who doesn't know what he's talking about - I will speak out only on matters about which I feel confident I have a right to an opinion. Exactly how many matters that entails no doubt remains to be seen. If I am too ignorant about a subject to discuss it intelligently, I will not discuss it at all, or mention it only in passing. The issues of the entertainment industry are too complex, and often too important, to criticize lightly. I also feel that uncalled-for negativity is unproductive at best, and harmful at worst, but more often than not merely unnecessary.
